FAQs

What does a typical visit look like?

Evaluations are ~90 minutes with follow up visits lasting 45-60 minutes. 100% of your visit is with a doctor of physical therapy- no aides or assistants! Typical visits include a combination of manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neruomuscular re-eduction, and patient education

How many visits do I need?

Everybody is unique in their healing journey and several factors including how long you’ve been having symptoms, what you’re goals are, etc factor into length of treatment. We strongly encourage at least 4-6 visits to allow for physical adaptations to occur. Creating strong bodies to carry us through life is our goal and that’s something that takes time if done correctly!

Do you take insurance?

Apricity PT & Wellness is an out of network practice. This allows us to work for our PATIENTS and not be restricted in services we can provided based on insurance companies.

What this means for you: one on one treatment with a full body approach, digging into the root problem of dysfunction vs just treating symptoms. Overall, this will allow you to spend less time coming to therapy and get back to the activities you want to do quicker!

We are happy to provided you with a Super Bill which you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

We accept HSA and FSA payments

Do you accept Medicare?

We are not Medicare providers, but can see patients with Medicare for wellness services

What is internal pelvic floor work?

Internal pelvic floor work is a powerful and useful tool to both assess and treat muscle coordination issues and muscle tension/pain. Continuous consent is gained and the exam/treatment can be done either vaginally or rectally. NO SPECULUMS required, typically 1 gloved and lubricated finger is all that is used!

Do I have to do internal pelvic floor work?

No! While it can be a useful tool, we are trained in assessing the body in several different ways and can generate a treatment plan without any internal work if it is not a good fit for you.

Can I come to my appointment if I’m on my period?

Yes! There are several different treatments we can do at your appointment that don’t include internal pelvic floor work. However, we are comfortable and professional completing internal work while on your period based on your comfort and need!
